Health Technologies Knowledge Transfer Network
We have built a strong working relationship with the Health Technologies Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN). During 2008 MedilinkWM was approached by the KTN to assist in the Technology Strategy Board road mapping exercise for the Assisted Living Innovation Platform. This involved facilitating a workshop with industry, academia and healthcare providers. The workshop assisted in canvassing the opinions of experts which helped to shape the ALIP objectives. This relationship also led to MedilinkWM leading on the development of the KTN Assisted Living Special Interest Group.
This is a national group aiming to build the following around the assisted living sectors:
- Inclusive and credible networks of leading organisations and individuals contributing to greater UK output in technological advancements and innovative products
- Route for development of UK strategy in technology and innovation
- Route to grow UK R&D capacity targeted to industrial need
- Route to communicate global market position and UK capabilities
Moving forward, MedilinkWM will continue to build on the Assisted Living SIG with a programme of National events. These events and workshops will focus on sharing knowledge and best practice and will move around the country to sites of special interest. Please register with the Health Technologies Knowledge Transfer Network for information and updates.
