The Directory to the UK assistive living technology sector has been researched and developed by healthcare industry specialist MedilinkWM’s i-Health team, working on behalf of the UK Health Technologies Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) and funded by the Technology Strategy Board's Assisted Living Innovation Platform.
"Any organisation providing, showcasing or developing assistive living technology will be able to include their details or research quickly and free of charge,” said i-Health Manager Rob Chesters.
"By guaranteeing that professionals working in this sector can gain a complete picture of the most current initiatives and services, as well as contact details for all relevant organisations, we’re sure users will be better able to make competitive, informed decisions. We’re also hoping that the Directory will facilitate collaboration and to help assess the GDP value of the assistive living market."
Health Technologies KTN Director, Sue Dunkerton, added, “The focus is on electronic assistive living technologies that are enabling home-based healthcare, including telecare, telemedicine, environmental controls, occupancy monitoring and memory support solutions. Users will be able to search for partners, technology solutions, specific suppliers, key documents and research as well as places with technology demonstrators, so we’re hoping it will be a one-stop-shop for up-to-date assistive living technology information for the UK."
The Directory is available to browse at www.alip-healthtechktn.com/al-directory. Organisations wishing to include or update details of their product, initiative, research or demonstrator can register online at www.Myi-Health.co.uk by completing the form "Get Your Product Featured."
