i-Cue Central Computer System
The i-Cue central computer system gives the building a level of intelligence. The system automates many common activities, for example reducing the heating and turning off the light in unoccupied rooms, turning down the heating if a window is opened in the same room. The system also provided audible messages to the occupant; for example if the shower is left running and the bathroom is unoccupied the system will announce the issue. The system will eventually turn off the shower if the occupant fails to do so themselves. This illustrates a common problem for many dementia sufferers which often leads to flooding. Information from the system can be reviewed remotely over the internet.
